Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Ibrahim Timilehin Balogun a.k.a Tiimmy began his foray into music, at 15, not far from his home in the suburbs of the bustling city of Lagos.
Initially grinding his skills in music production, he soon fell in love with singing and performing. This led to a lifetime of musical adventure. In 2017, he released his debut single “Big Boy” under the aegis of Champions Global Entertainment. He followed that success with the much-celebrated “African Woman” which celebrates the African woman in more adjectives than emotions can contend.
In a world where women’s rights and equality are a big subject of debate, Tiimmy’s “African Woman” is a testament to his love and respect for the African woman. He always says, “African Women are superheroes and should be lauded as one.” Laced with a Neo-Ambient Afrofusion/Afrobeats sound, “African Woman” is unlimited in its offering of groove and spirit.
Tiimmy’s sound keeps evolving with the times while retaining the originality of influences that brought his heart to music from the start.
